Being a Dad when your WHOLE FAMILY, is down for the count.

Hello and Welcome Home!

Elliott Family, Christmas 2018!
Have you ever battled with what to do when your family is down for the count, on the edge of the deep dark world of getting over being sick? Let me tell you, it's a battle for me every time. Being sick myself, it's no big deal. I will go to work if it's not contagious or if I believe I need the money. Subconsciously, I don't really care about my own well being, but being a dad and a husband, it's another thing altogether.

5 Lessons Being a Dad has Taught Me!

Hello and Welcome home!

Growing up, one of my biggest dreams was being a dad. I have said it before and will say it again. Being a dad has really opened my eyes up to an entirely different view of the world around me. Has it been what I dreamed, well no, it's been entirely different? Even with the chaotic moments becoming a dad has brought and the learning curve that has been thrust upon me, life is better. Life is fuller, and life is more memorable.

It's funny to think that my children are still so young and I have learned so much. I still have so much more to learn and experience before I will ever claim to be the dad my children deserve. Honestly, it will be a lifelong journey, and I guarantee I will make mistakes along the way but, the lessons learned will be fulfilling.

Being a Dad, What is our Motivation?

Hello and Welcome Home!

Have you ever struggled with the chaos your children bring to your role of being a dad?  It can be daunting. The role of a dad can be one of the most challenging roles for any man. It isn't one of those things that come overnight, but it is a role that can be one of the most exciting and memory making.

As a father of three children under the age of six, my wife and I tend to have a lot of chaotic moments throughout the week. Our kids are very energetic, and they get bored very quickly. I am sure there are others that are in similar situations. This is part of the reason I am launching "A Working Dad."

Overcoming Fear while Being a Dad

Hello and Welcome Home!

Overcoming fear while being a dad isn’t as easy as it looks to be on paper, is it? In fact, when it comes to actually embracing the role of being a dad, we dads tend to get lost in the things of our own imagination.

We tend to overthink our role. We assume one thing when it’s actually something completely different. Don’t get me wrong it is important to understand and accept our role. In the lives of our children, but we lose ourselves, don’t we?

Being a Dad, Is it Important?

Hello and Welcome Home!

I have always wanted the experience of being a Dad or even being a Father. I know it may sound like the same thing, but I believe there is more to it than that. Being a first-time Father was hard but being a first-time Dad? Well, that is something I am still learning, and I have three kids now.
